Un pompier qui vie dans une societé ou les livres sont illegal, un monde totalitaire ou le rêve et la cultures est interdite. Son job est de bruler les livres mais l'un d'entre eux attire ça curiosité et il prend le risque de lire le livre qu'il est supposé bruler.
